The Myrtle Beach area is home to a number of historical museums, art galleries, beautifully landscaped gardens, talented theater troupes and a broad range of musical offerings. The symphony presents classical works, pops and youth programs while community theater groups stage musicals, dramas and comedies. Among Myrtle Beach’s fine arts offerings are several art galleries featuring rotating world-class exhibits by nationally renowned artists. Museums rich in history showcase collectibles from the plantation era of cotton, rice and lumber and the memorable Civil War years. The South Carolina Hall of Fame honors contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to our state’s heritage. The Hall of Fame is located in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 21st Avenue and Oak Street, Myrtle Beach. Admission is Free.
