Media Trip Request Form
M Booth & Associates/Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce
Media Hosting Policy
Thank you for your interest in traveling to Myrtle Beach!
The following policy outlines the procedure that journalists must adhere to when requesting assistance by M Booth & Associates with individual or group media hospitality coordinated on behalf of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce
Individual Media Hospitality:
Individual media hospitality is determined on a case by case basis.
-
All requests for individual media hospitality must be sent to M Booth & Associates at least four weeks prior to travel dates and provide the following information:
- Confirmed media assignment
- Details on the journalist and the publication that they have been assigned to write for (circulation, frequency, publisher)
** Please note, freelance journalists will need a written letter of assignment from the publication’s assigning editor
- Trip requirements for the media’s assigned story
- Hotels, activities, dining, spa, guide, etc.
- Suggested dates for press trip
- Provide several options of dates, taking into account that it is more difficult to secure hotel accommodations during high season (May 1 – September 15)
- Upon receiving a hospitality request, M Booth & Associates will review the request and send our recommendations to the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. No media hospitality will be secured without the approval of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. This process can take up a few weeks.
- The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will not consider applications from media who have been hosted within the past 18 months.
- In the cases of group press trips, an M Booth & Associates representative will be responsible for escorting the group press trip with the assistance of Chamber-appointed guides.
- The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has the primary objective to host working media. Please understand that host hotels, attractions, and restaurants are not always able to accommodate spouses/children/family.
