Comes to Horry County
In January, Renee Wilson and her four grandchildren woke up to the sound of Ty Pennington screaming into a bullhorn. The Wilson’s are the newest family selected for an extreme home makeover, by the popular reality television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the family poured out of their home in tearful disbelief.
Hakeem, Tim, RJ, and Erica Wilson, of Longs, SC, who have been living with their Grandmother, were told that Ty and the gang will build them a new home of their own in a remarkable seven days on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
In addition to receiving an extreme home makeover, the Wilsons will leave soon for a dream vacation, courtesy of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. While the family enjoys its time with each other, Hall Custom Homes and Classic Home Building & Design, along with an army of volunteers, will be working diligently to make their dream home a reality.
According to Diane Korman, Senior Producer for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the choice of Hall and Classic was easy, “We look for Builders who are leaders in their community and understand how important it is to give back. Hall Custom Homes and Classic Home Building & Design have waived their fees, are working for free and will gather hundreds of trade partners, subs and volunteers to come together to build a house in one week. It is nothing short of a miracle.”
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as Best Reality Program (non-competitive), is in its 4th season on ABC. The program is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. Denise Cramsey is the executive producer; and David Goldberg is the president of Endemol USA.
