Business/Education Expectations (BE2)

Business and Education, hand in hand. What an interesting phenomenon, one that has been elusive in many places for many years. In the past, as educators went about the business of educating their students, business went about the business of doing business. It was on rare occasion that the two met and understood each other’s needs and objectives.

BE2 is designed to bridge that gap.

Business/Education Expectations (BE2) Partnership was founded to support the Early College Initiative in Horry County Schools. BE2 offers an expanded and innovative role for business and corporate involvement in our school. The BE2 partnership involves employers, chambers of commerce and community organizations in an effort to help students explore career opportunities and understand the education and experiences that are necessary for successful entry into careers of choice. Through support by Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc., BE2 serves as a division of the Horry County Early College High School Advisory Board.
